About Me
First things first, let’s get the contact info out of the way. Tried and true, the best way to get ahold of me is through my email address. IM clients come and go and who knows with Skype and Twitter, but email is forever. Here’s my email address…sorry about using an image and no link, but we need to make the spambots work harder to send me junk.

Now for the rest of my story…
Who I Am
At one time, I had a tagline on this blog. Depending on the theme, it would show up on the header. Anyway, it’s ‘Geek. Father. Husband. Agnostic. Liberal.’ That’s really the core, pretty much in order. I’ll break them down a little further.
Geek
I’m in my late thirties. But even still, I love new technology. I love new things. I even love web 2.0 even if I do make fun of it…a lot. But I keep trying the new things. Even when I hit the dreaded forties, I still want to always be on the front lines of technology. Actually, the front lines of everything. I will want to be listening to new artists, watching new shows and doing all the things that make me the geek I am. I hope I don’t fall into the ’stuck in the past’ trap I see a lot of my peers fall into.
Father
I have two sons. At the time of me writing this, the oldest (in fact, usually referred to on this blog as ‘The Oldest’) is almost four and Steak is about eighteen months. They are a handful, but they’re great. I was always pretty sure in my twenties that I did not want any kids. My wife wanted plenty. We compromised on one. Wait, what…uh…don’t ask. And don’t worry, that factory is officially closed for business. I love ‘em though. It’s pretty cool to come home and know at least one person is jumping up and down excited to see you.
Husband
I got married to The Wife back in 2003. Prior to that, we had lived together since about 1998 under extremely strange circumstances. Eventually, I was told either we were getting married or else. So we got married. We have our differences and sometimes we squabble, but in the end, married life is pretty good. It’s good to have someone to lean on every once in awhile.
Agnostic
You know, I was prepared to write a lengthy paragraph about my past religious experiences. But ultimately, it’s just going to divide my readers. I don’t want that. I don’t really talk much about religion as a general rule on this blog or in the real world. I think I’ll just say that religion is a very personal choice and I choose to be agnostic.
Liberal
Please go read that last paragraph about religion. Along the same lines, I don’t want to split my readers down party lines. So I’ll just say I’m a liberal and tend to favor Democratic positions, but I reserve the freedom to take my own stance on any issue.
