Standardize, People!

I’d like to take a moment to complain about something that irks me on a regular basis. I use my debit card pretty much everywhere to pay for stuff, be it a Walgreens or a website that specializes in background screening. But I prefer to run it as credit. I don’t like using my PIN number. Not sure why, but that’s not really the issue. The issue is that the button you push to indicate credit varies by flipping store. In some of them, you push the red button. In some of them, you push the green button. In some of them, you hold one foot behind and jumping in a circle while humming the theme to ‘Family Ties’.

It’s ridiculous. FIX IT!

    As a business owner, I prefer people to use the pin pad. It is WAY cheaper for me, than running it as credit. Over here, I’m the one who pushes credit or debit, so I do not add to your stress. But, I can understand it. (I guess)
