Best Day Ever!

So, Friday turned about to be a little better than most days.

I was driving back to work from the bank. I was going down Manchester Road. If you’re not from Saint Louis, all you really need to know is that Manchester Road is just a long speed trap. I was going with the flow of traffic and one’s of Maplewood’s finest pulls me over. F**k. I don’t need another speeding ticket. They’re expensive. So Officer Joe gets out of his car and walks up to me. He asks if I know why he pulled me over. I play dumb. I was speeding blah blah blah.

He asks for license and proof of insurance.

And of course, my insurance card had expired two days earlier. I still have the coverage, but no card. Blah blah blah lecture. As he’s getting ready to head back to his car to write my ticket, over his radio, I hear ‘something something huge fight something’. He tosses the license into my window, says ‘uh, drive safely’ and runs back to his car, pulls out and flies off.

    Score! On the three instances I’ve been pulled over (I’ve been driving for eleven years now, so three times isn’t bad, right?), the police officer always took his sweet time in grilling me with random questions, checking out my info, and writing me a ticket. :/

    Maplewood is bad, but you need to be REALLY careful driving through Rock Hill!

    Well, the only reason I ever need to go down Manchester Rd these days is for the Wendy’s and Crazy Bowls & Wraps. There’s a CBW close to my work and Wendy’s doesn’t carry the Asian wings anymore, so screw you, Manchester Rd!
