In The End…
So, a fellow blogger I read recently wrote a post about wanting people to comment and what it takes to get comments. What happened was the usual supportive comments, but also, some nasty comments toward the blogger. There was quite a bit of back and forth and people jumping in to take sides. It was kind of ugly and I’ll imagine unexpected for the blogger.
But that’s not my point.
My point is that if you dislike a blog so much, WHY are you still reading it? REALLY? If this blog here ever bores you or worse, makes you dislike me, then please, by all means, walk the f*** on. I write because I want to write. If you choose to read to learn more about me or get an occasional chuckle or a life nugget I poop out or get a link for special occasion dresses, then great.
But if no one read this blog but me, I would still write it.
(In fact, after this post, that may be the number of people reading it. 
)

Some people just get off on trolling. I’ve been lucky enough to avoid that so far, but my blog is extremely boring.

It’s the same as people who call Rush Limbaugh and say things like “I can’t stand you or your beliefs, but I listen every day”. Really? Why?? We had a talk show host here in Pgh who I couldn’t stand. Hated her voice, hated her jokes, disagreed with her opinions, so you know what? I DIDN’T LISTEN TO HER. I don’t watch bad TV shows or read magazines about things I don’t like. Life’s too short. If I didn’t like your blog, I’d just, you know – stop reading it.
That is not to say that I always agree with you, but at least you are generally entertaining, even when you’re wrong
and you don’t normally say things in a way that is unnecessarily rude or mean.

The only rude comments I’ve ever left are on blogs with auto-play music back when I was using Entrecard for traffic. Even that, I sort of regret. Content wise, if I find someone dull, I simply move on to more interesting blogs. I’m sure there are plenty of people who’ve seen my posts and thought my writing sucks, but I’d rather not hear from them. Like you, I don’t care if anyone reads what I write. I’ve always written for myself and blogging isn’t any different.
