Dear Webkinz,

You guys are kind of a-holes.
You know that?

I’ll explain.

Webkinz are these little stuffed animals that you purchase for your kid. They cost around $15 each, generally. I don’t know how that price compares to natural male enhancement drugs, but that’s not the point of this post. Here’s the point: they come with a code that you use to go online at their site and play with a cartoon version of your stuffed animal. And it’s fun. The Oldest has a couple and he enjoys playing the online games.

Except that you get one year to play with your pet. At the point, you have to buy another Webkinz or the site basically holds your already-paid-for Webkinz hostage until you pay. There’s not even an ‘add another year’ option. You just don’t get to play with your pet anymore.

And that makes my kid sad.
So, screw you, Webkinz. And the stuffed animal you rode in on.

That does suck. I can sort of understand them doing that with the free ones that they gave away at the minor league ballpark we go to; they had two Webkinz giveaway nights for the kids last summer. But I think that when you actually buy one, the kid should get to play with it forever, or pass it down to a younger kid.

That would be like Amazon taking a book that I bought and paid for off of my Kindle after I’ve had it for a year. I would be extremely pissed if that happened.

Oh man, does that SUCK!!!!What kind of BS is that? Eddie has never gotten one and he sure as *(&*%$ won’t be getting one now if he can only play with it for a year and then has to get more.

I so agree. The Girl has actually cried over some of her animals. of course, she doesn’t want to pony up the money to pay for extending them, and I’m certainly not going to … Build-a-bear, for all of their insanity, at least lets you play with your animals indefinitely.
