On this historic evening, I would love to write a lengthy post about how important I feel this legislation is and where I think we should go from here. But I’m never as intelligent-sounding in writing as I think I am in my head. I have a very hard time getting my thoughts coherently onto paper (or blog as the case may be). And I don’t want to hurt my own cause.

SO, let’s talk about Internet newbies!

You know what makes me shake my head. Every time a friend or family member gets on the Internet for the first time. Why, you ask? Because common sense contracts eczema, falls out an open window and dies a painful death. It NEVER fails. As soon as said-newbie gets online, they forward me six to eight emails a day with every bogus claim you’ve ever heard. Come on. I thought we all knew that Microsoft and AOL aren’t going to pay you for emails? Isn’t this common knowledge?

Maybe I’m overreacting…I don’t know.
