Best Facebook Ad Fail Yet…

Friday, December 11th, 2009

I’ve talked about the big-boobed girls who have ‘supposedly’ Googled me, according to Facebook ads. Maybe I didn’t talk it about here, but I have. Anyway, today I saw an even more ridiculous ad on Facebook. I think they are using random pictures for the job post, quick weight loss and dating site ads and this time, it really cracked me up.

Facebook Ad Fail

My only question is: what police district is Mr. Bean, in a turban, working in?

I Got Nothing…

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

That post title seems familiar…go figure.

I sat here this evening for easily three hours staring at various lighting fixtures around the room and I could not come up with a single topic worthy of a blog post. How pathetic is that? I’m not sure if it’s because of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season or Jen’s recent trip back into the hospital, but I am just flat out of anything to talk about. Not sure what to do about that.

I’ll tell you what, if anyone would like to do a guest post here at Patrick Says, I’ll open the floor. Your post can be any topic. Could be ridiculous or serious. Soapbox-y or humorous. You make the call. But write it fast. I need some content!

You May Have Noticed…

…that there is a gigantic ad for Amazon.com in the sidebar over on the left. Look, we’re struggling. If you’re going to be shopping at Amazon.com anyway, why not click the ad and then go find your stuff? If you buy pretty much anything, you’ll help out a fellow blogger. And it doesn’t raise your price. Not even a single penny. So, if you do, thanks.

The ad will be gone shortly after Christmas. Happy holidays!

Trivia About The Movie ‘Up’…

Found at Up (2009) – Trivia:

In June 2009, 10-year-old Colby Curtin from Huntington Beach, California, was suffering from the final stages of terminal vascular cancer. Her dying wish was to live long enough to see “Up”. Unfortunately, Colby was too sick to leave home and her family feared she would die without seeing the film. A family friend contacted Pixar, and a private screening was arranged for Colby. The company flew an employee with a DVD copy of “Up”, along with some tie-in merchandise from the film. Colby couldn’t see the screen because the pain kept her eyes closed, so her mother gave her a play-by-play of the film. Seven hours after viewing the film, Colby passed away.

Sad. But kudos to Pixar for helping this child.

I Can Disagree, Even With Those I Support…

President Obama,

I question sending more troops to Afghanistan.
I’m not sure that we should still be there at all.

That’s all I got right now.
