I Got You Covered…
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It’s a time to hang with family or maybe relatives are coming from out-of-town even. You know you’re going to need a joke of some kind for that oh-so-special moment. Well, I got you covered. We’ll use a classic. You can never go wrong with a classic.
For this joke to work, you need a quarterback name from a really crappy football team. Feel free to use our Saint Louis Rams, currently 1-9-0. You’ll also need to have the name of a rival team that beat the first team badly. Again, might I suggest San Francisco (beat us 35-0) or Indianapolis (beat us 42-6). So, now you’re all set!
As you’re sitting down to eat dinner, make the delivery: ‘I heard Marc Bulger went to pass the gravy at dinner, but a Colts defensive back intercepted it and ran it back for a touchdown.” Hilarity ensues! Of course, if you picked different teams, replace ‘Marc Bulger’ with your guy and ‘Colts’ with your rival team.
