Houston, We Have A Problem…
Monday, September 14th, 2009I just don’t seem to have anything I really want to say. Eep.
Is this the end? Maybe…I don’t know.

I didn’t write a September 11 post. To be honest, it’s been hard to write at all lately. Sometimes, we get so busy in the minutiae of daily life that we forget to take time to do things we love, or think we love. Like writing for me. Which is odd, because if 9/11 taught us anything, isn’t it that you should live every moment as if it’s your last because you never know when it’s all going to go bad?
So, I should write more. You should be doing something more too.
I guess another lesson of 9/11 is that we are a family here in America. I say this because it’s getting uglier and uglier with the politics around here. But I like to believe that if somebody outside our country were to attack us, we would rally around each other. That may be naive on my part, but I’m hoping it’s still true, notwithstanding people like Glenn Beck.
So, there’s my September 11 post.
Do stuff you like and watch your peep’s backs.
Simple.
(And look, I did it without using any non sequiturs like Lambo doors.)
I think this whole posting my tweets here on the blog thing has run its course. They just aren’t that exciting. If you want to keep up with my tweets, go follow me on Twitter.
I was going to use this picture for tomorrow’s Wordless Wednesday post, but it’s seems more appropriate today considering.

Every now and again, I’ll come across a tool or application on the web that is just awesome. And today was one of those days. The site is called fontcapture.com. It’s very neat.
You download a template and write out with a Sharpie every letter, number and symbol. Then you scan and upload the document and quicker than you can apply lip gloss, you get a font based on your own handwriting.
How cool is that? In the past, I’ve seen sites that did this, but they all charged. Fontcapture is FREE! Below is some sample text I made from my font. It’s a little hard to read, but so is my actual handwriting.
