Can I Owe-ski?
I know I owe you guys a lot more proper posts. But I’d be lying if I said I’d been handling the last couple of months very well.
It’s been pretty bad.
Jen has (and continues to recover from) some very serious medical issues. I’d also be lying if I said there weren’t a couple times when I think we nearly lost her. But she’s getting better.
It’s a very, very long road.
There’s some good news. The oldest got a Nintendo DS and is in heaven with it. How we came about it will be the subject of a future post, but I say thank you to Crystal right now.
And he deserves some joy. He’s been dealing really well, all things considered, with Mom going to the hospital and frequently not coming home that night. And he’s handled Dad yelling a lot. And I don’t want to yell. I’m just…stretched…pretty much to the point of breaking.
I also have a lot of people that need thanking. I’ve thanked them all as they helped when they could, but without them, I’d already be fired and homeless and without health insurance and wondering where I could find food for my kids. The job still has an element of jeopardy, but I’m desperately trying to catch up.
Money still sucks. That has only gotten worse. I’m feeling pretty confident we can scratch one of those resolutions off in the fall.
To give you a sneak peek at an upcoming post, I’ve got a serious rant about my near entry into the world of reviewing netbooks. Actually, in this case, it was a notebook, but I got bumped out. I’m working that post up for tomorrow.
Come back soon. And thanks.

So glad he likes his DS. You probably already know, but you can get cheap, used games at Game Stop locations. I’ll ask around to my friends too and see if their kiddos have any old games they’re not playing with.
I really hope you and Jen catch a break soon. This has just been going on for so long. It would wear the toughest of people down.
Tell her I miss her.

Thanks to you, I have been reading Crystal’s blog for the last year. That woman is just incredible (and funny as hell!). I’m glad you got one of the game systems
Jen has been in our prayers. Hope things turn around for the better Yesterday!
Kids can have an amazing capacity for compassion for their family and it’s so wonderful to see it in action. See, more proof that you’re a great dad!
Hugs to you all
