What Up, Dog?

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

It’s been awhile. What can I say?

I’d love to tell you that I’ve been extremely busy hunting elephants in Asia or that I’ve been making the party scene in Los Angeles with Seth Rogen and that dude from SNL, but I’d be totally lying.

I’ve been working long hours at the job and trying to keep my family from voting me off the island at home and it’s taking up most of my time.

I’m tired.

I’m tired of sitting in front of the computer most nights trying to get blogging stuff done and either getting distracted by Facebook or falling asleep. Most nights, I awake here at 2:30am and head upstairs to bed.

I’m tired of my body. It seems to be falling apart, which is awesome. (Oh, sarcasm, how I love thee.) I feel like a senior citizen, which in theory shouldn’t happen for another couple of years. So that sucks.

I’m tired of not having enough money for, well, anything. I’m tired of shilling for products for not-nearly-enough payouts. What else? What else? What else? Acne treatment? Nope. Covered that earlier.

I guess that’s enough of me whining. I’ll try and get back to regular posting. I think I just needed to have a blogging hissy fit. I’m better now.

Oh, one more thing. For any of my readers participating in the upcoming tea parties: enjoy your freedom of assembly and your unpatriotic demonstrations. Also, why do you hate America so much? (See, there’s that sarcasm. You guys loved to tell us liberals how much we hated America because we disagreed with George Bush, so congratulations, that stuff DOES come around.)

Good Stuff On The Telly…

As my viewing of TV stands around here right now, I don’t watch a lot. Basically, I watch ‘The Office’, ‘Scrubs’ and ‘Doctor Who’. There are a few others, but that’s about it.

To my surprise, however, there are quite a few shows on the horizon to look forward to.

  • When I was a kid, I was hooked on a mini-series event (two actually) that ran on NBC. One was ‘V’ and the other was ‘V: The Final Battle’. They were awesome. Of course, having watched them again as an adult, the effects were pretty bad in reality. But nonetheless, there is a reboot of this series that could be very cool. So I’m definitely interested. (It’s important to note that ‘V’ did have a regular series and it was, in fact, abysmal.)
  • I love British television from ‘The Office’ to ‘Doctor Who’ to ‘The IT Crowd’. So, imagine my surprise when I heard that ‘Red Dwarf’ was coming back! I was as giddy as a schoolgirl! Here’s a preview!

    AWESOME!

That’s all I got. But that’s two awesome nuggets. You’re welcome.

You Naughty Girl…

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

If you own a radio, you’ve probably heard Britney Spears latest single, ‘If U Seek Amy’. I guess there’s some controversy about it, but I don’t really care.

Instead, I thought I’d post a poll. When singing along to this song in the car, do you actually sing the song title or do you just sing the intended spelling of the F-word?

Vote in the poll!

How do you sing the lyrics?

  • 'begging to if you seek Amy' (20%, 2 Votes)
  • 'begging to eff you see kay me' (20%, 2 Votes)
  • I don't sing along with this song. (60%, 6 Votes)

Total Voters: 10
