Name That Tune…
Monday morning quiz! Name these two songs by their plot lines!
- Ooooh, I talked to a homeless guy. Now I’m all wise.
- I drove my girlfriend to get an abortion. Now I’m depressed. She’s depressed. She’s more depressed. We confess! I’m still depressed.
Answers in the comments. First correct wins bragging rights!

#1 could be any number of songs, but I’ll go with Phil Collins’ “Another Day In Paradise”
#2 is obviously Ben Folds Five “Brick”. Hooray for depressing abortion songs that somehow end up being singles and played on the radio.

#2 is correct. I’ll leave #1 for other guessers. (Although you’re free to take another stab.) Here’s a hint: $2.

@the replicant No, but is ‘Aqualung’ about homeless people? I’ve heard of the song, but have never actually listened to it.

Well, I had Ben Folds Five instantly. LOVE this idea, btw. #1 I think is “The Way It Is” by Bruce Hornsby. First instinct. How’d I do?

Nope. #1 was ‘Mr. Wendal’ from Arrested Development, the band, not the television show.
Thanks all for playing.

Arrested Development (both the show and the band) is wise.

@KBO Shouldn’t that be ‘are wise’?
