Quick Update…

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

In regards to the Forty-Eight Hour Challenge I attempted this past weekend, I made it. Actually, I almost lost it in the forty-seventh hour, but got some encouragement and pushed on. Actually, I went until the fifty-second hour before I finally drank the Diet Coke. W00t!

Update: Watch Your Neck…

Seriously, I may have to choke the next person who tells me to wait the one hour to finish this challenge and don’t drink the ice-cold bottle of Diet Coke in the fridge.

That is all.

Diet Coke

Okay, it’s only been eighteen hours, but I’m getting a little twitchy. I could really use a Diet Coke.

Also, last night on the way home from work, I was thinking that forty-eight hours wouldn’t be that hard since there wasn’t any Diet Coke in the house and I’m, well, too lazy to go get any.

So, at Home Depot while picking up a couple light switches, I also picked up a twenty-ounce bottle of Diet Coke. Every time I open the fridge, there…it…is. Just sitting there, talking to me, begging me to grab it, fondle it, touch my lips gingerly to…you get the idea…drink it.

What Are They Selling?

I love these kinds of ads. Remember this one for Old Spice that seemed to have absolutely nothing to do with Old Spice? Well, while on MSNBC the other day, I found another. So, let’s play a game. Can you guess what this image is an ad for? I’ve blurred the text, so comment and leave your guess.

Selling What?

Return Of The Challenge!

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Awhile back, I came up with this idea of a forty-eight hour challenge. A kind of test of willpower that I could do on a weekend just for the sake of new content here on the blog. I had dumped the idea because I figured, why bother?

I’m bringing it back!

It could be simple like avoiding fast food franchises for two days or complex like walking backward for two days. I will consider suggestions.

This weekend, we’ll see if I can go forty-eight hours without Diet Coke. You think that sounds easy? You have no idea how much I love Diet Coke. I get jumpy after about twelve hours off the juice.
