The Start Of Something Big?
So, I’ve been getting restless lately. It happens. I think it’s because I’m creeping up on the age I never really wanted to reach. I’m not saying it. Not yet.
So, what better way to try and beat down the restlessness than with a quest? It was either that or medical assistant training school and we all know how that would work out. Anyway, here’s the goal.
Either forty pounds or forty chapters.
I’m either getting in shape or getting a book done. Or both. (Okay, both is just crazy talk.) I feel like I need this. I need something to happen. Because I just ain’t that happy these days…
Look, it’s not that bad. I have a great family and I have a house (for now) and a job and that’s fine. But I feel like I’m just treading water and I don’t want to just tread water for the rest of my life.
Meh.
I don’t know.

40 chapters, one for each pound? Or how about just one chapter per pound regardless.

I don’t think the two goals were really related that way, but interesting nonetheless.

Write the book. Fitness is overrated

Generally, there are three correlations to happiness in our lives. Health, Wealth, and Love. They all directly affect each other…for instance, if you have all the money in the world but are dying from cancer, than whats the point?
The funny thing is, once one factor is affected the others are affected negatively or positively. Sounds like you got two parts to a three part puzzle.
I say lose the weight and you will see improvements in the other two aspects of your life. I read 36 books last year, and working out was so much more self-fulfilling. Hopes it helps!

I think this would be wonderful for you…pick one and GO FOR IT!!!

how about 20 of each? Either way, you can do it.

I’m with Jami….try both! Just don’t set your goals too high, you’ll get discouraged. Keep it all realistic. Just do one thing each day intentionally and before you know it, you’ll be editing your first 10 chapters from a smaller pair of shorts! You can do it, you can do alot if you just get intentional about it.

I would say to go for the book. When you write something, you will have it for years to come, but you will always have to keep up on losing weight.
