And I Don’t Even Like Star Trek…

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

So, there’s this conflict. And it’s a deep conflict. I just can’t resolve it.

See, I’ve never been much of a Star Trek fan. I’ve seen the shows a couple times, saw a couple of the movies, but I’m not fanatical about it.

On the other hand, I love corsets. Man, oh man, do I love corsets. If there was a ranking of womens clothing I dig seeing, corset would be #1 through #6. No joke. I love corsets.

So imagine my chagrin when seeing this little number:

You know what, let’s just go ahead and put this in the good column…

What To Write About…

Saturday, February 21st, 2009

So, I suppose an update on the Forty By Forty project is overdue. To be honest, I’m not sure which to do or both. I did some book ideas I thought I might throw out.

  • Obviously, writing about the Forty By Forty project could be a book in and of itself. But that’s far kind of cheating. Plus, the project will be outlined here anyway.
  • The original NaNoWriMo project I attempted last year. It’s science fiction with a good storyline (my opinion).
  • Another possible idea is a book about my religious directions: growing up in the church, my questioning and ultimately dismissing, of Christianity. Could be interesting, even if I just wrote it for my kids to read someday.
  • I could write a book about jobs in finance. Okay. I made that up.

I could probably come up with more ideas, but I’ll probably end up going with the science fiction story. Since I’ve been running through it in my head, for quite awhile now.

So Much For The Fun Stuff…

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

I did my taxes a couple weeks back. It should hit my bank this week. Which is cool. I had big plans for this years refund. I was going to pay off all the emergency rooms I owe from last year and I had even planned to get the family a Wii.

Because that thing just seems like pure fun.

But of course, there were more bills than I planned for and that whole Wii thing went right out the wii-ndow. Get it? I used the word ‘wii’ for window. I crack me up.

Okay. Maybe it wasn’t that funny. Maybe this whole post is just tragic. Oh well. It could always be worse.

So, to summarize, things I will never have: Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, iPod Touch. Things I have: time to whine. Got it?
