Holy Cow! Beatle Bob Is In Blender!
I was sitting on the couch this morning reading my latest copy of Blender magazine (for the record, one of the crappiest magazines ever)…okay, I was on the crapper reading it. Anyway, I was flipping pages and was astounded to see Saint Louis’ very own Beatle Bob featured in an article… with pictures no less.

For those who don’t know who Beatle Bob is, he’s kind of an icon around here. According to sources, Beatle Bob has attended a music concert every night for the last 11 years. Love him or hate him, he’s known. I’ve seen him at probably three concerts I’ve attended in the last ten years. He’s interesting, to say the least.
But to get featured in a national publication is pretty cool. Anything to get Saint Louis some national ink is always a good thing (except for that ‘most dangerous city’ crap from last year).
Sorry, I can’t find the article online at Blender’s site. Comment and I’ll scan and email it to you. Or go buy the latest Blender at a newsstand.

Shows how far out of the loop I am, I’ve never heard of him! LOL

I had to read the article just to find out if someone was blended and who they are. Ha.
I’ve heard of Blender mag, but never of Beatle Bob. Sad on my part I guess.

I’ve yet to see the new Blender, but he’s been mentioned in a few other magazines. Paste, I think, is one. Or Harp. Either way, I was shocked.

I don’t know if that’s cool or creepy. I had never heard of him but checked out the wiki link. There are links at the bottom of the wiki with additional photos…. I advise you all to not look. I guess you have to hand it to him for being persistent though.

I think it’s kind of cool that St. Louis has a character like that. I like characters. When I don’t have to deal with them on a daily basis, of course.

A friend of mine from grad school emailed me today about Beatle Bob to spread the word that BB’s degree is in social work. Weird.

I love Beatle Bob! I’ve seen him at countless shows around town and if he’s there, I know it’s going to be fantastic concert because he only goes to the best!
He’s a legend amongst the St. Louis music scene and I think it’s pretty amazing that, from his love for music, his popularity has grown to a national level.

I saw this too, while browsing thru Blender. I have run into Beatle Bob probably about 20 times. One time I got my photo taken with him and my husband who is not from St Lou was like ….who is that guy?
Love him or hate him, he is good for St Louis, and certainly an interesting character.

My daughter at 15 went to Verizon Amphitheatre for Warped Tour; afterward, she commented to me about this “old guy” who was dancing like a mad-man and who had a Beatles haircut. I thought it was hysterical. Loved explaining to her about the local celebrity she’d brushed shoulders with.

That’s the Beatle. He’s interesting, if nothing else.

If Beatle Bob comes to your band’s show, then you’ve arrived.
Just so the Beatle Bob neophytes understand.
