Round #1, Battle #3
In the next battle, we have Elisha Cuthbert versus Missi Pyle. Here’s the rundown.
Elisha Cuthbert is well-known for playing Jack Bauer’s daughter on ’24′. But what really put her on my radar was a film called ‘The Girl Next Door’. It’s a cute film (despite the plot involving the porn industry) and the thing that is interesting is that in EVERY single scene of the film, they go to great lengths to make sure Elisha looks smoking hot. So much so that you notice it each time.
Missi Pyle was a reader submission. I know nothing about Ms. Pyle, but she seems interesting. If someone wants to add info in the comments, please feel free.

Ms. Pyle played a small but very funny part in one of my fave movies ’50 First Dates’. She played a horny tourist trying to score before she went back home…really it wasn’t that dramatic, but it was a funny part! Also she played a very funny part in that show ‘Wedding Bells’ that was only on for 1 season last fall. She’s pretty good, actually. Not sure she’d ever beat out Rachel Ray, but I like her best in this one.

Hmm, before I vote anymore, I had a thought: You mentioned disqualifying one of the contenders due to the lack of online photos, saying that a large selection of photos were needed because of all the different uses as the patron saint. Maybe you should give us an idea of what you are looking for in a good patron saint, some qualities needed to perform the duties to the utmost capacity, that way we can vote based on that? After all, each entrant has varying skill sets to bring to the table.

I think you’re over-thinking this one. The patron saint is more somebody I (or my readers) think is ‘cool’. They need only be cool to be the patron saint. Kate Winslet is cool. Mary Alice is cool. Storm is cool. All the nominees (except the two reader submissions) are celebrities I think are cool.

Missi also played an alien in “Galaxy Quest” – she was the alien chick involved w/Tony Shalhub’s character
She’s super quirky and I like her
