Is The Spirit Of Halloween Still Out There?

Well, another Halloween done. Another year of hardly any kids. I don’t get it. I live in a pretty good neighborhood. This year, the weather was good, no rain and still we got maybe 20 kids the whole night. I guess some neighborhoods just don’t do well and others do.
When I was a kid, we never trick-or-treated in my neighborhood. We always ended up going to a nicer part of town. The kinds of places where you get at least the fun size candy bars or bigger and NO pennies. I hated the people who gave pennies. I don’t want your loose change…give me some damn candy. Of course, now I have kids who go get me the candy. Yeah!
How was your neighborhood tonight? Busy? Did your kids work your neighborhood or did you take them elsewhere? Discuss.

Wow - is that how you were dressed tonight? And you wonder why no one stopped by! Just kidding!
We have no kids in our neighborhood, so we wen to a freinds to take our son for his frist trick or treating (he’s almost 2)
Hubby stayed at the house and said in 2 hours no one knocked! And we were out trick or treating, and more than half of the neighbors were not home.
I feel like when I was a kid there were tons of kids and every house had the porch light on.

I found that picture on the Internet. My ass is way hotter than that. I know that people always remember things better than they were, but it just seems so slow these last couple years.

Lol that picture is hilarious
Being Australian I’ve grown up hearing about it but never participated in… It’s every kid’s wish here that we will one day celebrate Halloween, and get free lollies and chocolate (or candy, as you guys call it)…
Every year little Jonk would watch on the television and just sigh “if only.”

We had about 10 all night, which, sadly was a record high. We have a lot of kids in this trailer park, but they go elsewhere. My daughter & her friends went to the rich side of town, probably where everyone else went, too!

This is the cutest pumpkin (and ass) I’ve seen. A good laugh to end the Halloween fever. Thanksies!

Since we only have 5 houses on our street, we go to my Moms neighborhood. It was hopping! People were turning out their lights, because they were out of candy, and it was only 7:00! We walked about 3 blocks, both sides, and got a full grocery bag. I always carry a ‘dump’ bag, so the kids have a place to go with the overflows. This also prevents the ‘he got more than me’ problems. Nice picture, by the way. Happy Halloween!
