The Junk Kids Want…
This occurred to me earlier and I thought I would share it.
When I was a kid, probably around 11 or 12, I think there were three things I simply had to get when I became a ‘grown-up’. Sadly, I have none of them now, as a grown-up.

Turnstile – Globe Drug had one and for some bizarre reason, I thought it was cool as hell. I guess I wanted to keep track of how many people would come into my grown-up house.

Phone Booth – Back in the day, these things had doors and windows. Now, you can barely find one that comes within four feet of the ground. But at least now they smell much better.

Lastly, the Batphone. A red phone with no numbers, a flashing light and the best part, it’s under glass. How can you not want that? The good news. I may still have a shot at getting this one…or I could build it…

Ok, now the turnstile is just weird, but the phone booth I can almost understand, especially if you have Superman fantasies. And what kid didn’t want the Batphone.

And I wondered what to get your for your birthday, any one of those 3 would be perfect! Why did you wait until 5 days before to tell us this? LOL

I used to dig that turn style at Globe too, by the way. Also, didn’t it have a weird ramp in the middle of the store too??

PBW: Maybe we should get them at Costco and get the two-pack!
