Even well known companies (well maybe not THAT well known) like SEOMoz do their hiring in part from Craigslist. I'm thinking about posting an employment position up there myself actually. It seriously works for EVERYTHING. If you have junk around your house that you don't feel like taking to the dump, just post it and sure enough someone will be interested in picking it up. What I like about it, unlike Ebay is that it's local. So you can go look at the product before you buy it. I love Craigslist. It seriously works for EVERYTHING.
