Talking ‘Bout Work…
Okay, so I don’t talk about my work very often. And for good reason. But I’ll break that policy today. So I work in an almost entirely female office. There is one other male, but forget about that. Everyone else is a female. My boss is a woman. My co-workers are women. Heck, even most of the volunteers who come in to volunteer are women. This has both pros and cons.
Women tend to be freer with conversation than men. At least in my experience, that has been the case. These women will talk about pretty much anything. It could be PMS, it could be their husbands, it could be bathroom stories. That is a con…mostly.
The pros? Well, as the only male, I often get viewed as the ‘eye candy’ in the office. Yes, I don’t get it either. But they have no reference for comparison when I’m the only (younger) male in the office.

My office does have field trips. However, we call them ’site visits’ and we don’t need signed permission slips to go on them.
