He Does Have Buttons…

So, tonight at bedtime, the oldest son (the 3-year-old) says to me:
‘Daddy, I want to be Darth Vader for Halloween.’
‘Okay,’ I reply, ‘why Darth Vader?’
‘Because he has the force…and he has a lightsaber…and he can make popcorn.’
‘Popcorn?’ I ask.
‘Yes, Daddy, he has those buttons on his chest.’
My son thinks Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith, is a microwave oven. Well, he does have those buttons and maybe the Emperor does enjoy some Orville Redenbacher every once in awhile…

That is absolutely hilarious! I don’t see how little kids come up with so many things like that. I wish I had that much imagination.

They always think outside the box because they don’t know the box exists. It’s great.
