Baggy Pants…
So Atlanta is considering banning baggy pants.
More specifically:
Baggy pants that show boxer shorts or thongs would be illegal under a proposed amendment to Atlanta’s indecency laws.
The amendment, sponsored by city councilman C.T. Martin, states that sagging pants are an “epidemic” that is becoming a “major concern” around the country.
Really? How about first, we ban ‘muffin tops’?

Then we’ll talk about baggy pants.

I’m wary of any “legistlation” that limits personal freedoms. If somebody wants to walk around looking like a jerk, let them.

As am I. I’m more ridiculing it than anything. You can’t legislate what people wear. It’ll never go anywhere.

how about ‘butt cracks’? they’re more disgusting than ‘muffin tops’.
imagine you’re eating someplace, you look straight ahead for a moment and what do you see? someone sitting there with his/her butt crack visible for all and sundry to see… while they’re in the middle of eating.

Hmm, I think you are right, that legislation will never get anywhere. Can you imagine all the extra man hours alone that will be required to enforce it? Maybe they should just put up billboards that say “Show your pride, not your private bits.”

Yes, let’s.

It’s one thing to ban them in schools. I completely agree with that. I remember kids walking up and down the halls holding their books with one hand and they’re pants up with the other, but banning anything like that in public is just ridiculous.
If you knock out the baggy pants, knock out the low rider jeans, daisy dukes, and teeny little t-shirts while you’re at it…and remind those girls to put on a bra!
I think I shall invite all my baggy pants wearing motorcycle ridin’ friends for a drive to Atlanta tomorrow. OOOHHH the lawlessness!

Nothing worse than seeing someone’s underwear or arse crack. especially in public.
But you’re right, legislature against just won’t work.

I don’t understand how the baggy pants are comfortable (but agree you cannot ban fashion… what is this, the forties?). Jeff bent over the other day and he’s got his pants belted like below his ass… how can you even walk like that? Seriously?
