You bring up a good point and I will totally give you that. MySpace does the music scene very well. (Wasn't that it's original purpose before the social networking aspect came about?)

Excellent point!

MySpace has proven to be a wonderful networking tool for the station. I do not have a personal page there and I wouldn't want one but it's brought me in touch with a myriad of musicians from all over the world I would otherwise have no awareness of. I'm discovering indie artists are usually better than the drek they play on the radio and MySpace gives these artists a chance to find a station like KMRL, get in touch with me and get played. It works for us, we get great new tunes. It works for them, they get either royalties or can use it for entrance into ASCAP.

I didn't like Facebook, I looked it over and nothing drew me to it. I have an Orkut account I neglect. I guess I'm not looking for social networking or to re-connect with my past but for the station, I am glad there is a MySpace.
