Back On Track…

Let’s get the blog, and subsequently, the Blogathon back on track since I got swamped by the DJing. Which, by the way, was freakin’ awesome. I have not had that much fun in a long time. And I need that. We all do.

So, what to talk about?

How about the charity I’m blogging for? The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was formed in 1970 by the parents of children with juvenile diabetes. They believed they could find a cure for juvenile diabetes within their children’s lifetime. And they still do. Advancements are coming at an amazing rate and if they can’t find a cure, they can do as much as possible to help those with type I. The Artificial Pancreas Project offers a lot of promise. When the glucometer can ‘talk’ with the pump, you have an awesome combination.

But JDRF doesn’t focus on one area. They focus on many areas. No one know where the cure will come from, but JDRF IS funding solid research to get there. Click on the big orange button on the right and help make a difference. Thank you.

A very worthy cause to be blogging for.
My dear friend of mine was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when he was 6 1/2. Now at 39, he is on the transplant list to recieve a liver and a pancreas. Hopefully he can recieve the transplant and live without the need for insulin.

    Rock ON!! :0)
