If You Wannabe My Lover…
Am I the only one excited to hear that the Spice Girls may be reuniting?

Ok, it’s just me. But I thought the Spice Girls were pretty okay. They never attempted to make you believe that they were anything more than happy, bouncy pop. And by just by the title of this post, you will probably be humming that song later.

So here are some excerpts from the article on Newsvine:
Spice Girls Set Date to Reveal Plans
LONDON — Talk of a Spice Girls reunion has swirled for weeks — boosted by Sporty Spice herself — and on Friday the vivacious five said they would make “an announcement to the world” next week.
Gossip took a major leap, and suddenly old film clips of the 1990s pop sensations were all over British television.
The statement issued by the quintet’s management company seemed designed to move the rumors up a notch and stretch them out for a good week.
“Following weeks of speculation, the Spice Girls are set to make an official announcement to the world regarding future plans on Thursday, June 28,” said the statement from 19 Entertainment. “Details regarding the announcement will be released in the coming days.”

And how about a video of one of my favorite Spice Girl songs:

Are you kidding? I so love the Spice Girls! Their movie was hilarious, totally like the Beatles’s HELP! and they embrace the self-mockery. Really, what’s not to love? I think I may need to organize a Spice Girls Halloween costume arrangement, in which my best friend is Posh and I’m Ginger. Or she might want to be Sporty. Hmm. We need some more friends for this!

They’re all right, but they’re no Pussycat Dolls.

Those slutty, Spice Girl ripoffs? All they do is sing about taking their clothes off and licking stuff. They’ve got p*ssy right there in the name of the group. Heck, the only one who could actually sing left the band.
At least you can take a Spice Girl home to meet your mother!

EDW - I would not have pegged you for a SP fan. I guess Ginger is your favorite? I don’t know why, but I always favored Sporty Spice. Go figure.

Sure, Sporty is hot. Ginger’s not my favorite, but I have red hair, I have to be Ginger! I got someone else to be Sporty, so it will have to be my BFF for Posh. And one of the husbands volunteered to be Scary. I just need a Baby Spice. They think I’m kidding, wait until Halloween.

You will totally need to post some pics from that one!
