‘Sex & The City’ Thoughts…

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

So, my friend (and also my wife’s friend) is over and the two of them are watching ‘Sex & The City’. I immediately put my headphones because I have testicles. Now, every time I take off my headphones to go the kitchen to get some soda, I hear Sarah Jessica Parker narrating the show. EVERY SINGLE TIME. They overspent on audio for that show. They could have just had Sarah drone on and on and narrate the whole thing. Just my two cents worth…

Friday Feast #112…

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

I took a break from the feast. It’s back!

Appetizer
Measured in minutes or hours, how much exercise have you had in the last week?
About…………………………7 minutes. Sorry. I’m a fat guy. What are you expecting?

Soup
If you had to change your blog title to something else, what would it be?
I had this thought the other day: ‘Wearing Sandals In The Winter’. It’s just…casual.

Salad
Name one television show you watched when you were 9-12 years old.
I want to say ‘Knight Rider’ and ‘V’, but the age may be off a little.

Main Course
If someone gave you $50 to spend with the one condition that it had to be educational, what would you purchase?
I’d put it in my son’s college fund. Easy…

Dessert
Do you tend to prefer dark colors, neutral shades, or lighter/pastel hues?
Used to be darks, but the last couple years, I am all about the bright colors.

First Loves…

Monday, September 18th, 2006

I was surfing the other day and stumbled across something or other about first loves. Who were mine? Easy. Martha Quinn (not pictured) and Storm of the X-Men. There were several versions of Storm through the years. This is old school Storm and the one I knew best (I can’t explain the brightness of the picture).

Old School StormNewer Storm

This is a newer version by Jim Lee (I think). There was also a mohawk phase Storm went through. For the record, I never cared that much for Halle Berry as Storm. She was adequate, but I would have preferred someone else (but not Grace Jones as people suggested back in the 90s).

Meme’s…

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

I’ve been neglecting the blog lately. Sorry. A side project I’m working on has exploded and I’ve been really busy. In the meantime, I got hit with not one, but two meme’s. Thank you, Cinders and Jami. So I may as well kill them in one post. First is Jami’s.

Things I would like to do before I die:

  1. Spoil my grandchildren.
  2. Own my home.
  3. Retire.
  4. Lose all these stupid extra pounds.
  5. Get in touch with my father’s side of my family.

Things I CAN NOT do:

  1. Swim.
  2. Speak a foreign language.
  3. Fly a jet fighter.
  4. Fix an automobile engine.
  5. Play guitar.

Things I CAN do:

  1. Code HTML.
  2. Fix computers.
  3. Amaze you with pop trivia.
  4. Ride a bicycle.
  5. Bathe myself.

Things that attracted me to my wife:

  1. Youthful beauty
  2. Laughs at my stupid jokes
  3. Accepts me as I am
  4. Good home cooking
  5. Exceptionally good with kids

Things I say most often:

  1. ‘Hey buddy.’ Usually to my son.
  2. ‘No.’ Again, to my son.
  3. ‘Really?’ But dripping with sarcasm.
  4. ‘Sure. I’m not doing anything.’ I say this at work when co-workers come up with projects.
  5. ‘Peace out.’ I say this when I’m trying to urban. It never works.

Books I love to read:

  1. Howard Stern
  2. HTML and CSS books
  3. Al Franken

Sorry. That’s all I read lately. I guess magazines don’t count.

Movies I love:

  1. Matrix Trilogy
  2. X-Men films
  3. Spiderman films
  4. Mystery Men
  5. Napoleon Dynamite
  6. A Few Good Men
  7. Star Wars films
  8. Kevin Smith films
  9. Batman Begins
  10. Office Space

That’s one down. Here’s Cinders: divulge eight secrets.

  1. I can’t swim.
  2. I fell asleep once at the wheel of a car.

I’m sorry. That’s all I can come up with. I’m just not that interesting.

As for tagging someone, I ain’t doing it. If you want to do one of these, have at it and give me a link. Peace out.
